Davis Slams Committee's Report On Missing RNC E-mails

Rep. Tom Davis of Virginia, the ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, slammed Democrats on that panel Monday for making "tenuous and premature conclusions" in their report on the disappearance of Republican National Committee e-mails sent by current and former White House officials.

"The Democrats missed the mark with today's report," Davis said. "Everything about this report overreaches and prejudges."

The committee released a report Monday morning alleging a series of potential abuses of the Presidential Records Act, which mandates that presidents and their closest advisers retain all pertinent political, policy and organizational documents about their tenure in office.
