David Hasselhoff: Hayley Roberts and I are not engaged

David Hasselhoff appeared to have popped the question to his girlfriend, Welsh model Hayley Roberts, but the actor said Tuesday that they have no plans to marry - at least, not yet.

The 59-year-old tweeted a photo of himself down on one knee with Roberts, leading to speculation that he had proposed.

"Tried it again on top of the Sydney harbor bridge!" Hasselhoff wrote, along with a photo of himself on one knee in front of Roberts.

"What do you think she said!?" he added, sharing another image of the couple kissing on top of the bridge.

Later Tuesday, the actor told People that the proposal wasn't official.

"The truth is I'm having a fantastic time with this lovely lady but at this time we have no plans to marry," he said. "But who knows? As they say in Wales, 'Cymru Am Byth!' or Wales forever!"

Hasselhoff proposed to Roberts twice before, according to the Daily Mail, but the 32-year-old model turned him down both times.

If the proposal had been for real, it would have been Hasselhoff's third marriage. He has two children with his second wife Pamela Bach.
