Darren Criss dragged off stage by a fan
(CBS) "Glee" star Darren Criss, who debuts as a mentor in Sunday night's "The Glee Project," escaped injury earlier this week when he was pulled offstage during a tour stop in Washington, D.C..
Following a Thursday night performance of "Somebody to Love," the 24-year-old actor, who plays Blaine on the Fox hit show, was yanked off the front of the stage by a fan, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.
Criss, who jumped back on stage to join the cast for a closing bow, said he had a close call, almost bumping his head on a gate between the crowd and the stage.
The University of Michigan grad, who has been in show business since he was 10, later tweeted about the incident :"To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage... keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren."
Criss is among the "Glee" stars who appear on Oxygen's series premiere of "The Glee Project."
