(CBS) While promoting his new movie, "The Woman in Black," Daniel Radcliffe appears to be trying to rid himself of his "Harry Potter" past and replace it with a tougher bad-boy image.

In a recent interview with the U.K.'s Daily Mirror the 22-year-old actor reportedly admitted to having one-night stands with groupies.

Radcliffe told the paper that it didn't happen frequently and was mostly due to his heavy drinking, which he also has recently opened up about.

In an interview with Heat, a British celebrity magazine, Radcliffe revealed that he would drink "nightly" and was sometimes drunk while filming scenes in the "Harry Potter" franchise.

The British actor, who claims he has now given up alcohol completely, said he has admitted that he has a very addictive personality.

Radcliffe's new thriller "The Woman in Black" is his first major role since "Harry Potter." The movie is currently in theaters.
