(CBS/AP) FORT KNOX, Ky. - The family of a Fort Knox soldier last seen visiting his parents one week ago in Sarasota, Fla., has reported him missing.

The Manatee County sheriff's office in Bradenton, Fla., says Pfc. Daniel Dezinno left his parents' home on Thursday, Oct. 24 to return to the central Kentucky military post but hasn't reported or been heard from since.

Relatives say they contacted the Florida Highway Patrol and Georgia Highway Patrol, but no one reported seeing the 30-year-old soldier.

Sheriff's department spokesman Dave Bristow says Dezinno's credit card was last used Friday. Bristow says Dezinno's phone was shut off the same day.

Bristow says there is no evidence indicating foul play or that Dezinno might be in danger.

According to the Herald Tribune, Dezinno joined the army a year ago and took a leave this month to visit friends and family in Miami, Sarasota and Orlando.

Dezinno's mother reportedly said her son didn't appear to be unhappy when he went to see her.

Dezinno may be driving a 2005 silver Subaru sedan with Kentucky license plate 168PHP.
