Daniel Baldwin's wife sentenced to 10 days in jail

(CBS/AP) - The wife of actor Daniel Baldwin has been sentenced to 10 days in jail for violating her probation on a drunken driving charge by drinking.

Joanne Baldwin, who has been held in the Clackamas County Jail, told the judge in the Portland suburb of Lake Oswego on Wednesday that she's had a "rough time' and is "quite broken."'

The 41-year-former model promised to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after she's released. She has been in jail a week.

Municipal Court Judge Bruce Shepley ordered her to wear an alcohol-monitoring device until he decides she no longer needs it.

Baldwin surrendered last Wednesday on a charge that she violated a condition of her probation by consuming alcohol, a spokeswoman for the Lake Oswego Police Department told E! Online.

Her arrest came a day after Daniel Baldwinfiled for divorce and filed a restraining order against her, claiming she punched him and threatened him with a knife in front of the couple's two children.

The two were married in 2007.

Daniel Baldwin did not attend today's hearing.
