Dangers Of Reclining Car Seats
How many times have you been a passenger in a car and felt a little tired, so you put your seat all the way back and took a nap.
The Early Show's Debbye Turner explains many people mistakenly believe it's safe to ride in a car with the seat fully reclined. One couple believes that misconception led to their daughter's death, who was napping in a passenger seat during an automobile accident.
All car owner manuals warn of the safety risk of riding in a reclined seat. The problem, Turner explains, is that almost no one reads their owner's manual.
The Pannebecker have created a foundation to raise public awareness of the danger of riding in a car with the seat fully reclined. For information on the SnowAngel Foundation visit SnowAngel.org.
Tune in Thursday to The Early Show for the complete report.
