"Dancing with the Stars": Some drama and a perfect score

Things got a little heated on "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night as competition grows among the remaining finalists.

A performance by one of season 16's favorites, Kellie Pickler, ended up causing a stir among the judges. The country starlet performed with her pro-partner, Derek Hough, as well as Tristan MacManus. The drama happened after Pickler's paso doble performance, which garnered perfect scores from Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Not so fast, said head judge Len Goodman, who gave Pickler a score of just 7, calling the number a "hodgepodge of moves." At one point, co-host Tom Bergeron said, "Somebody just hose 'em down" -- in response to the judges' disagreement.

The judges, though, were on the same page when it came to TV star Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy, who salsa-danced their way to a perfect score of 30. "It was a star turn -- sizzling and dazzling and amazing," said Tonioli. The perfect score came after Zendaya's second dance of the evening, as each of the stars performed with two pros.

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas snagged a score of 29 for their tango and 27 for their jive trio. Judge Bruno Tonioli, for one, was impressed with Raisman's improvement, saying she had "grown so much as a performer."

As for the rest of the contenders, NFL player Jacoby Jones impressed the judges with his enthusiasm, but he was a little off in the technique department, finishing the night with 52 points.

Soap star Ingo Rademacher, meanwhile, earned one of the lowest scores of the night with a lukewarm foxtrot and a jive that totaled 48 points. And Bachelor Sean Lowe may be great at snagging a woman, but he will likely be in jeopardy on Tuesday during the next elimination round. The reality TV star finished with 42, the lowest score of the night. Goodman called his dances a "big ugly."

Contestants' scores:

Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy 9, 10, 9 (28) +10, 10, 10 (30) = 58
