Craig Strickland's wife gives update on search

Craig Strickland's wife, Helen, continues to remain hopeful that her country singer husband will be found.

The 29-year-old lead singer of Backroad Anthem went missing Sunday while duck hunting with his friend Chase Morland during severe weather in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since then, authorities have been looking for Strickland along a 38-mile long lake in northern Oklahoma.

His wife, former Miss Arkansas Helen Wisner, posted an update early Thursday via Twitter, noting: "The search has wrapped up for the night. No major updates, but we're hopeful for tomorrow. Thanks for your continued prayers."

She also wrote longer message on Instagram about faith and God:

While we hurt and experience the worst pain of our lives, we sometimes believe that God might not be there with us listening when we cry out to Him. But then, when we least expect it, He speaks and comforts us in such beautiful ways. Today we received a message with one of those beautiful blessings...Due to Craig's disappearance, a family friend found herself unable to sleep. She got up and started cleaning out a closet and found a Bible with Craig Strickland's name inside. She spent the next 45 minutes searching scripture that Craig has highlighted. She then shared with us a few of the versus that stood out to Craig. These bible verses, which spoke to Craig, reminds us of God's intentions for our lives. No matter the outcome of this circumstance, the truth of God's word can comfort and give strength to each of us. He loves you and I, and desires good for our lives. Therefore, every difficult situation CAN be used for good. I am so thankful God allowed the holy spirit to lead our friend to Craig's Bible. I pray that the truth of His words would wash over each of you as it did for Craig and his family. Thank you Craig Michael for sharing with us the wisdom that the Lord shared with you. And thank you Lord for giving us the opportunity to share Your truth through Craig's legacy.

Earlier this week, authorities recovered Morland's body from the lake where their boat capsized. Prior to the hunting trip Morland tweeted: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm"

Strickland's dog survived the hunting trip, and even stayed with Morland's body, according to Helen:
