Court Grants Goodling Immunity
Former Justice Department official Monica Goodling was granted limited use immunity Friday by the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for testimony and other information she is providing the House Judiciary Committee in its investigation of the sacking last year of eight U.S. attorneys.
Said House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.): "Monica Goodling is a critical witness to this ongoing investigation. We look forward to hearing her testimony as promptly as possible."
