Cops: Stepfather asphyxiated girl who was found dead near Arizona road
VAIL, Ariz. – The stepfather of a 13-year-old girl found dead on the side of an Arizona road is accused of asphyxiating the girl to death.
In a statement, Tuscon Police say that Joshua Lelevier, 37, is charged with first-degree murder and abandonment or concealment of a dead body for allegedly killing and then disposing of Jayden Glomb.
According to police, Glomb's body was found by a man leaving a job site on May 11. Her family had not seen her since the day before. On May 30, the medical examiner ruled Glomb's death a homicide and the manner of death asphyxiation.
Lelevier lived with Glomb and her mother at the time of the killing.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing and that anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the department.
