Cops: School bus struck after road rage incident

COBB COUNTY, Ga. --Police in suburban Atlanta say a driver involved in a road rage confrontation with another driver accidentally ran into a school bus carrying 55 elementary school students, reports CBS affiliate WGCL.

According to a spokesperson with Georgia State Patrol, the driver of a Pathfinder was behind the school bus Tuesday morning on a highway in Cobb County, northwest of Atlanta. Police say the driver of the Pathfinder was trying to change lanes, but was prevented from doing so by the driver of a Camry, which had been ahead of the Pathfinder.

Both drivers where side-by-side in the same lane when the driver of the Pathfinder lost control and ran into the school bus, police tell the station. One student and two people in the Pathfinder were taken to the hospital.

The drivers of both the Pathfinder and Camry -- identified as 44-year-old Stacy Fisher and 57-year-old Michael Cagle -- were charged with aggressive driving and reckless driving, the station reports.
