Cops: Drunk dad kicks out kids to look for seashells

EXPORT, Pa. - A Pennsylvania man was arrested for locking his three children out of the house over the weekend, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

Charles Seibel, 36, was allegedly highly intoxicated when he kicked his kids -- two 8-year-olds, the other 14 -- out of their Export, Pa., home in Westmoreland County on Saturday, according to the station.

Police said Seibel told the kids to go look for seashells and not to come back.

The station reports the three children eventually walked about half a mile to another home, where they asked for help.

Authorities were called and arrived at Seibel's home to find the father asleep on a bed in the basement. He was then taken into custody.

Seibel is facing child endangerment charges, according to CBS Pittsburgh.
