Cops: Calif. teen abucted at gunpoint during jog, then raped
MODESTO, Calif. - Authorities are searching for a man alleged to have raped a teenage girl after forcing her into his car at gunpoint in Modesto, Calif., reports CBS Sacramento.
Police say the girl was approached by the suspect Friday morning while she was on her morning jog. The man allegedly forced the girl into his car, drove her just blocks away, then raped her in broad daylight before dropping her off at a park, police say, according to the station.
A nearby convenience store reportedly has surveillance video of the girl running by moments before the alleged kidnapping.
Heather Graves with the Modesto Police Department says the girl walked home following the attack and called police. The girl was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her bruises and injuries.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his 20s who has a tattoo on his upper left arm. They say the teen didn't know the suspect, who was last seen driving a black, two-door Honda Acura with chrome rims.
