Cops: Body part in river may be from slain Mass. man
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Authorities said that a body part found in the Charles River on Friday may be linked to other human remains discovered in Hyde Park and Bridgewater last November, the Boston Herald reports.
“A body part was recovered that may be connected to the unsolved Salisbury homicide investigation,” said Carrie Kimball Monahan, Essex District Attorney spokeswoman.
On Nov. 14, investigators found limbs burning in Bridgewater and a charred torso in Hyde Park, later identified as the remains of Dennis R. Jackson, 24, of Haverhill, Mass. His head was not recovered at the time.
Monahan would not identify the body part found on Friday.
Investigators believe a home in Salisbury may be connected to Jackson’s death. 26-year-old Reginald Cummings, an aspiring rapper who lived at the Salisbury home in question, is currently being held on unrelated drug and destruction of property charges, Monahan said.
