Xbox theft beating victim not expected to survive
BOULDER, Colo. -- The Boulder County district attorney's office has filed attempted-murder charges against two teens accused of beating a developmentally disabled man during a March 31st robbery for his Xbox video game console, according to The Denver Post.
Aaron Tuneberg suffered serious head injuries when police say he was beaten unconscious with a bat and golf club at his apartment during the theft of the video-game console.
A prosecutor said Tuneberg, 30, is not expected to survive.
"He's like one of the most generous people I've ever met in my life ... will open his doors to anybody ... maybe it's not the smartest thing," Tuneberg's friend Katie Whiteman told CBS Denver.
Austin Holford and Luke Pelham, both 18, were charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault on an at-risk victim, aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary.
