Colorado And Mass. Delegations Wager On World Series
Members of Congress from Colorado and Massachusetts have placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the World Series between the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox. If the Sox win, four Massachusetts lawmakers -- Reps. Edward Markey, Stephen Lynch, Michael Capuano and Bill Delahunt -- get some Colorado green chilies, a case of Coors, and Salazar All Natural Beef steaks. If the Rockies win, four Coloradans -- Reps. Mark Udall, John Salazar, Ed Perlmutter and Diana DeGette -- receive a lobster and clam chowder from Legal Seafood, a case of Sam Adams beer, and a Boston cream pie. All the lawmakers are Democrats.
Am I the only one who thinks the Coloradans were better negotiators?
Senators from the two states made a similar wager yesterday.
