Colo. prison disturbance leaves one staff member dead, another injured, official says
(CBS/AP) CROWLEY, Colo. - A disturbance involving an inmate at a state prison in southeast Colorado on Monday left one staff member killed and another seriously injured, an official said.
State prison spokeswoman Adrienne Jacobson said a female kitchen staffer was killed and another was wounded in the Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility n Crowley, which is about 45 miles southeast of Pueblo.
The state prison houses about 1,000 male prisoners and was put on lockdown.
