(CBS) CARBONDALE, Colo. - Police in Carbondale are looking for a bank robber in the Colorado mountain town's first serious crime in decades, CBS Denver reports.

Saturday afternoon a man walked into a Wells Fargo bank, tied up employees and a customer, threatened them with a gun, and got away in a stolen car.

The gunman was wearing a wig and a fake mustache. Investigators, including the FBI, say the robber knew his target.

"It was very scary, especially when they saw the weapon," Carbondale Police Chief Gene Shilling said.

The gunman was wearing a wig and a fake mustache. Investigators, including the FBI, say the robber knew his target.

"It seems like there was some time taken to look at what he was going to do and figure things out," Shilling said.

The bank branch specializes in transactions while customers sit in their car.

Authorities say the suspect stole an employee's car and drove it about a block where his getaway car was waiting. Police hope they have a fingerprint on a note to try and find the gunman.

How rare is violent crime in the community about 30 miles northwest of Aspen?

"We believe our last one was 1979 or 1980 when we had an armed robbery in town," Shilling said.
