Colo. Baptist school teacher indicted for affair with male student

Terah Rawlings El Paso County, Colo. Sheriff/CBS Denver

(CBS) COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A grand jury indictment accuses a teacher at Hilltop Baptist School of having an affair with a 15-year-old student.

Terah Rawlings, 32, is accused of having sex with a male student in 2007, according to CBS Denver.  The indictment states  Rawlings had sex with the teenager in her car, at her home and in her father's home.

The court document also claims Rawlings sent the teen a nude photo of herself. The boy apparently showed the photo to a friend.

The indictment also alleges Rawlings was a chaperone on a school trip to Greeley where she was seen kissing the boy and making out in a van, CBS Denver reported.

Rawlings was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony counts. According to the sheriff's office, the sex assault took place in 2007 and was only reported in 2010.

The Hilltop Baptist School has since closed because of low enrollment.

Officials are also charging three additional suspects with failing to report the crime, including Franklin "Wayne" Knight, 63, a senior pastor at Hilltop Baptist Church who is also Rawlings' uncle; Jan Ocvirk, the former principal, and Raymond "Allen" Knight, Rawlings' father, who's an associate pastor at Hilltop Baptist Church.
