Collaborate with Google Moderator
Pop quiz, hotshot: You need to collaborate with some co-workers. Perhaps you're trying to establish the agenda for your monthly meeting, or maybe you need to assemble a list of questions to ask a guest speaker. What do you do? What do you do?
E-mail? Bah. Digging through mail threads is for suckers. Instead, try Google Moderator, a Web-based polling tool. It lets you set up a topic and then invite peers to enter questions, suggestions, and ideas. Each item can be voted on -- more popular items float to the top -- and anyone can comment and respond to entries as well.
Best of all, if you're like me (by which I mean that you're the sort of person who feels the need to have a planning meeting to prepare for the actual meeting), you'll love that there's a presentation mode so you can project the results of the poll for all to see and debate. And that, my friends, is a giant cup of awesome.
