Coleman Applauds Troop Withdrawals

Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), like many of the Senate Republicans up for reelection next year, is very happy that Petraeus wants to send some U.S. forces home.

"I applaud the troop withdrawals this year," Coleman told Petraeus and Crocker. "I applaud the fact that it will be at pre-surge levels next year."

Coleman was joined in silent thanks by every other Republican on the committee, including Sen. John Sununu (R-N.H.), who sits to his right. You didn't hear it, but they are thinking it. I guarantee it.
