Coachella expanding to two weekends in 2012

(CBS) If you were bummed out you couldn't make the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year because it sold out too quickly, the festival's organizers feel your pain. That's why they're expanding the festival to two consecutive weekends in 2012.

According to an announcement on the Coachella website, the organizers want to "try and accommodate everyone who wants to experience the festival."

The announcement continues, "We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people." (Different people presumably means different attendees.)

Passes for the 2012 festival go on sale Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. PST. For further details, visit coachella.com.
