Cloudera Raises $6 Million In Second Round

Software company Cloudera has raised $6 million in a second round according to a press release issued this morning. The round brings total funds raised to date to $11 million, and was led by Greylock Partners with participation from existing investor Accel Partners. Greylock partner Aneel Bhusri will join Cloudera's board.

Cloudera's main product draws on open-source Hadoop Java software and helps companies, including websites but also energy and commodity businesses, manage and analyze large amounts of data that helps monitor performance of their operations. The company's teams includes former executives at Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and Facebook.
