Clinton: Sinatra Did It His Way

President Clinton says he knows why millions of fans loved Frank Sinatra.

The president told reporters, "He really did do it his way."

Mr. Clinton spoke during a photo session with Japan's prime minister ahead of this weekend's G-Eight summit in Birmingham, England.

Mr. Clinton, who has sent condolences to Sinatra's wife and children, says he'd never met Sinatra before becoming president. But having had dinner with the singer, he learned to appreciate on a personal level what Sinatra's many fans saw in him.
