Clinton on Celebrity Campaigners

From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

WILLIAMSBURG, IOWA -- After her event in Williamsburg, Hillary Clinton was asked about the effect of celebrity endorsers campaigning for presidential candidates.

"Well I think everybody wants his or her supporters to speak out and try to pursuade voters to try to support whoever their candidate is. But at the end of the day its a choice among those of us who are running. I think most voters understand that they sort it all out, they make up their decisions. They can be influenced by a myriad of factors."

What about the timing of having Chelsea in Iowa at the same time Oprah Winfrey was campaigning with Barack Obama and and whether or not it was planned in advance?

"We had planned for my mother to campaign with me at some point and for Chelsea also. But we knew it would never happen before December because of all the conflicting schedule needs and everything everybody had. And it worked out that it was going to be today and I'm thrilled to have them with me. I've had a great time having my mother and my daughter with me and I hope I can pursuade one or both of them to come back."
