Clinton, Obama Hit Each Other Hard In New PA Ads

The Democratic battle continues to rage on the Pennsylvania airwaves.

Ahead of tomorrow's primary, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama released ads over the weekend criticizing each other for...criticizing each other.

"He couldn't answer tough questions in the debate," an announcer says in Clinton's spot, "Answer." "So Barack Obama is making false charges against Hillary's health care plan. She has a plan everyone can afford. Obama's will cost taxpayers $1,700 more to cover each new person. Hillary's plan covers everyone. Obama's leaves 15 million people out." (Here's a link to the Obama ad the claim of "false charges" refers to.)

"Obama's attacks have been called 'destructive and poisoning,'" the announcer continues. "There are more and more questions about Barack Obama. Instead of attacking, maybe he should answer them."

Watch it:

Obama, who is far outspending Clinton on advertising in the state, responded with his own 30-second spot, "Exactly."

"Newspapers call Hillary Clinton's negative attacks the 'old politics,'" says an announcer. "And now, in the final hours, she's launched the most misleading and negative ad of the campaign. Barack Obama doesn't take money from special interest PACs or Washington lobbyists. Not one dime."

"But federal records show Clinton's raised millions from PACs and lobbyists; more than any candidate, in either party," he continues. "Eleventh hour smears, paid for by lobbyist money: Isn't that exactly what we need to change?"
