Christopher Plummer Joins "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"
NEW YORK (CBS) Christopher Plummer is joining the cast of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
The actor, best known for his role as Captain Von Trapp in "The Sound of Music" will play Henrik Vanger, the ailing tycoon who hires journalist Mikael Blomqvist (played by Daniel Craig) to investigate the decades-old disappearance of his niece.

Blomqvist is aided by the troubled but brilliant hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) in the investigation.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the casting news on Friday.
Other stars appearing in the film include Robin Wright, who will play Erika Berger (Blomqvist's colleague and lover), and Stellan Skarsgaard, who portrays Henrik Vanger's nephew, Martin.
