Christina Aguilera happy for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
Christina Aguilera doesn't mind third-wheeling for fellow "Voice" coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. The singer said she's happy the two have started dating.
Aguilera told Access Hollywood that she had no clue Shelton and Stefani were together until they publicly confirmed the news; even as rumors swirled, Aguilera didn't believe them.
"I think there was starting to be rumors about it, and I was like, [laughs] 'Yeah, right, Blake!'" said Aguilera. "It was just funny. We were just palling around, joking around. And then it became real."
But Aguilera said that she thinks the two make a great couple, saying Shelton is "a barrel of laughs, and has been like a brother to me." She added that she admires Stefani as well. "She's an awesome girl. She's such a dedicated mom," said Aguilera.
"Happiness deserves happiness. They're good people. I just know that divorce is tough and so they deserve some laughs and happiness and if it's [with] each other, then they deserve each other," added Aguilera.
What did Aguilera say to the new couple?
"I just saw them yesterday, actually, and I got the chance to tell [Gwen] in person ... 'You get that cowboy, girl!'" she said.
