Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shut down Piers Morgan in Twitter feud

Piers Morgan's latest celeb feud is with outspoken model Chrissy Teigen.

It all started on Sunday, when the 51-year-old British journalist tweeted that the late Muhammad Ali said "far more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims." He then accused people of "sugar coating" Ali after the legendary boxer's death on Friday.

Clearly, 30-year-old Teigen and her husband, 37-year-old John Legend, took offense. After Morgan tweeted, "I hope people don't make me sound too perfect when I die. No coats of sugar please," the "Ordinary People" singer fired back, "You could test us by announcing your retirement."

"From what? Trolling isn't a job (I've tried)," Teigen then cracked.

Morgan and Teigen took their feud further, after Morgan called out her own job.

"Maybe I should take up a proper job, like modelling?" Morgan tweeted at Teigen, to which she replied, "It keeps me nice and not-racist so sure, give it a go."

The two even brought their children into the feud.

Teigen eventually called Morgan an "unequivocal douche," prompting him to call her a "ludicrous swimwear accessory."

Morgan defended his comments about Ali in his column for the Daily Mail on Monday. "You may want to read my new column about Ali & racism, @johnlegend @chrissyteigen -- you may learn something," he tweeted.

"I didn't intend to disrespect Ali with my tweet, as many claimed," he wrote in the column. "But I did intend to offer the anti-Trump brigade some historical perspective about their own hero as they vented their collective spleen. Of course, that spleen then promptly vented itself on me, but I make no apology."
