If you're dying to strut your stuff in the hottest styles, but can't afford designer prices, then you're in luck. Linda Wells, the editor in chief of "allure" magazine, found some fabulous shoes at a fraction of designer prices.
Here are the shoes featured on the show:
Manolo Blahnik, $690, waiting list
Steve Madden, $149.95, Steve Madden stores
Manolo Blahnik has done this boot in the past but decided to bring it back again. J. Lo and L'il Kim have worn this boot and Jay-Z has rapped about it in one of his songs.
There is a waiting list to get this boot, and Wells warns they'll probably never make it to the floor of the store. You have to call ahead and get on the list to get a pair. If you are J. Lo obsessed, you can purchase similar pink, blue, or white from Neiman Marcus.
PS: There's also a waiting list for the knock-off version. So call those stores and get on those lists!
Chinoiserie floral open toes
Prada, $585, available at Barneys New York, Saks Fifth Avenue, Jeffrey
Ann Marino, $59, in stores May/June
Chinoiserie and Chinese fabrics inspired this season's Prada collection, and as we all know, 9 out of 10 things that Prada makes is a hot item. For $59, you can have a shoe very much like the Prada, at a fraction of the price.
Chanel Weekend Sneaker, $395, Available at Chanel boutiques, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales
Adidas Yoga Mei Lo W, $70, available at adidas.com
If high heel boots and floral chinoiserie aren't up your alley, there are some fantastic sneakers that are both comfortable and fashionable. Both versions are hip, chic, and a must-have on the street. But one is almost a sixth of the price of the other.
'50s/'60s style slingbacks
Marc Jacobs, $450, Marc Jacobs stores, available early-February
Via Spiga, $169, available in February
Everything from Marc Jacobs has a waiting list, and since this is highly coveted, it's no exception to the rule. This shoe is a reflection of the '50s and '60s sweet, innocent look, which was seen throughout his entire spring 2003 collection.
Every celebrity wears Marc Jacobs; Wells points out that Winona Ryder wore Marc Jacobs to many of her court appearances. To be the chic girl on the block without spending too much, Via Spiga offers a very similar shoe to the Marc Jacobs. Can you tell which is which?
