NEW YORK (CBS) "Chase," the new series about U.S. Marshals who hunt down fugitives in Texas, might not be something worth pursuing.

The drama is led by actress Kelli Giddish and her partner, played by Cole Hauser, as the two track criminals in the Lone Star State. The show premiered Monday night on NBC.

Critics have generally panned the show. The Hollywood Reporter called it "generic" and said the show doesn't slow down enough to show the relationships between the characters. The Los Angeles Times said the show "delivers just what its name promises, and not much more."

"The show can be more than a little silly, but you can't say it isn't fast-paced," the review concludes of the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced drama.
