Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management" to debut June 28 on FX

(CBS) FX has set a premiere date for Charlie Sheen's new series "Anger Management."

The series, loosely based on the 2003 Adam Sandler/Jack Nicholson film of the same name, will debut on the network on June 28.

"Anger Management" will premiere in the 9 p.m. ET time slot, TVLine reports, with two back-to-back episodes. It will be followed by the season premieres of Elijah Wood's "Wilfred" at 10 and Louis C.K.'s "Louie" at 10:30. Beginning July 5, Sheen's show will air at 9:30 p.m.

At 11 p.m., the network will air "Strangely Uplifting," featuring Russell Brand giving his take on politics, pop culture and current events. That show, according to Reuters, will be filmed in front of a live audience.
