Celine Dion, 8 Months Pregnant, Hospitalized in Florida

PALM BEACH, FLA. (CBS/AP) Celine Dion, who is eight months pregnant with twins, has been admitted to a Florida hospital to prevent the early delivery of the babies.

The 42-year-old Grammy winner is at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. The hospital said in a statement the admission was recommended to make sure she's near her doctors leading up to the babies' birth. Her rep said she is due to deliver the twins early next month.

The hospital, which is near Dion's Jupiter Island, Fla., home, also denied reports circulating on the Internet that the singer has exhibited diva-like behavior..

"At no time did Ms. Dion or her husband make any special demands or requests of the hospital," a hospital spokesman said.

Dion announced earlier this year that she's pregnant with two boys. She had tried for years to have more children. She and her husband, Rene Angelil, are the parents of a 9-year-old son, Rene Charles. According to media reports, the twins she is expecting are the results of a sixth in-vitro fertilization attempt.
