Celebrity-led #ActuallySheCan mentorship campaign launches

You can’t put a price on proper guidance.

That’s why, in honor of International Day of the Girl, the ActuallySheCan campaign has teamed with Allergan and a host of famous faces to launch the #ActuallySheCan Mentorship program.

The program is aimed at “celebrating the power of women helping other women and providing young women with empowering advice on careers, relationships, health, and more,” according to the organization.

To kick things off, the campaign tasked journalist -- and participant -- Amanda de Cadenet to interview notables such as Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, actresses Chloe Grace Moretz and Gabourey Sidibe and fashion icon Iman about the women who have inspired them the most.

The women speak with candor and emotion, covering a range of topics that affect young women today.

Celebrated fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh also captured the women and their mentors in intimate portraits.

First and foremost, obviously my mom,” Moretz said when asked about her mentors. Her mother, Teri Duke Moretz, was also photographed with her. “I think everyone’s built-in mentor can be their parent. My mom’s always been that for me.”
