Mason told TMZ his team has been receiving "all kinds of threats" at his office since the controversial not guilty verdict came in, including "one we just turned over to law enforcement."

Mason said the people who were sending them in are "cowards," according to TMZ.

Authorities are investigating the reported death threats against the Anthony family and checking their credibility.

Last week Anthony was acquitted on first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Judge Belvin Perry sentenced Anthony to a total of four years in jail on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement, as well as a fine of $4,000, plus court costs. However, due to credit for time served and good behavior, Anthony is scheduled to be released this Sunday, July 17.
