Canadiens Lose Linden

Center Trevor Linden of the Montreal Canadiens will undergo surgery Thursday to repair two fractured ribs and will miss the remainder of the season.

Linden was injured when Tampa Bay defenseman Pavel Kubina fell on him during a goalmouth scramble in the first period of the Lightning's 4-3 win Tuesday night.

Linden missed 20 games earlier in the season with a sprained ankle.
