Calif. woman on life support after beating outside nightclub

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Authorities have arrested a woman but are still looking for other suspects in a brutal beating outside a nightclub in Orange County, Calif. that left a 23-year-old woman on life support, reports CBS Los Angeles.

Police in Santa Ana say they are still looking for two men and two women in connection with the beating of 23-year-old Kim Pham, according to the station.

An altercation between two groups of people began shortly after midnight Saturday outside The Crosby Bar and Nightclub in Santa Ana, according to Sgt. Richard Weber of the Santa Ana Police Dept.

Authorities were called to the scene and upon arrival found Pham, of Westminster, unconscious on the sidewalk. She was transported to a hospital where she remains on life support, according to CBS Los Angeles.

The motive for the attack remains unclear, Col. Anthony Bertagna said.

Bertagna said people have come forward and provided authorities with video and statements that gave detectives enough information to arrest one woman in connection with the attack on Monday.

Businesses near where the attack took place are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to more arrests.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Crimes Against Persons Unit at (714)245-8390 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
