Calif. woman arrested for allegedly biting two small children in bookstore

(CBS) PALO ALTO, Calif - Police have charged a 46-year-old woman with felony child abuse after she allegedly bit a toddler and an infant in a bookstore.

CNN reports that Polly Beltramo was arrested Thursday after fleeing the bookstore and being found in a nearby coffee shop.

Bookstore owner Rammurti Reed told CNN that he saw a 2-year-old girl running toward the front of the shop, crying, with a red welt on her cheek.

"Suddenly a little boy, who was just a couple of months old, started screaming," Reed told CNN affiliate KGO-TV. "I went to him and his cheek was bleeding."
