Bush Unhappy Over U.S. Attorney Probe
President Bush just told reporters that he is not pleased by the ongoing probe by the House and Senate Judiciary committees into the firing of nine U.S. attorneys last year, and he wants it to end soon. Bush's comments come a day after Monica Goodling, a former senior aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales accused both he and Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty of offering misleading statements about their knowledge of the firings.
Bush said the probe was "Kind of being drug out, I suspect for political reasons."
The president said Congress should "get on with the business of passing legislation that is meaningful for the country."
