Bush 'confident' Bailout Will Pass

President Bush said Wednesday afternoon at the White House he is “confident” the bailout will pass.

Bush said "the bill has been improved" by temporarily raising the cap on FDIC insurance and urged lawmakers to be aware of the gravity of the economic situation.

"It's very important for members to take this bill very seriously,” Bush said. “Hopefully the [Senate will] pass it and then the House will have a chance to vote on it Friday morning.”
