Buick makes Pandora standard feature in all cars

(CBS) - American car maker Buick is getting hip to the tech game by making the Internet radio service Pandora a standard feature.

Expect to see Pandora make an appearance in 2012 Verano, Regal and LaCrosse models. By 2013 all Buick models will feature the Internet radio.

Pandora will be accessed from Buick IntelliLink, which is the car's "infotainment" system. Users will be able to connect the touchscreen device to their smartphones via Bluetooth or USB. You'll still have to rely on your wireless carrier's network, though.

This is a great partnership for both companies. Pandora gets mainstream exposure and Buick can offer the general public a product that is awesome.

"Fleet-wide integration of Pandora is one of the most expedient ways to expand Pandora listening in cars and we're delighted that Buick is rapidly making personalized radio an option for their drivers," said Pandora executive vice president of business and corporate development Jessica Steel in a statement released by the company.

We love having the option of Internet radio on long car rides. And this is definitely a win for commuters.
