Budget Committee To Hold Hearings On Costs Of War

The House Budget Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday to discuss the overall costs of the war in Iraq.

Democrats have increasingly emphasized the costs of the war as the debate over withdrawal has been postponed until the spring.

Congressional Budget Office Director Peter Orszag, Amy Belasco, of the Congressional Research Service, and Linda Blimes, of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, will testify.
