Brush With Death Is Caught On Tape

A videotape shows how two New York City police officers were nearly killed on the side of a dark highway.

Lou Young of WCBS-TV reports the two officers had pulled over a suspect for speeding in the early hours of New Year's day and were starting to process his information when all three had a brush with death. A dashboard camera captures one officer's face, as he appears to see something approaching.

A split second later, a Ford Escort plows into the cops, the whole incident caught on tape (video). The NYPD will not identify the officers but says the more badly injured of the two is still on three-quarters disability and might be unable to return to work at all.

The driver is identified as Sabrina Grobb, 28, of Queens. Young says she refused to take a blood alcohol test and is charged with DWI and attempted assault.
