Brody Jenner defends girlfriend Avril Lavinge in bar fight, reports say

(CBS) Brody Jenner and his girlfriend singer Avril Lavigne got into a fight Saturday night at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood that ended bloody, according to reports.

Jenner was reportedly cracked in the head with a bottle, while he was trying to break up a fight between an unknown girl and Lavigne, TMZ reports.

According to law enforcement officials, hotel security broke up the fight and detained the "Hills" star and the others involved in the fight. When the police arrived on the scene, their final report listed Jenner as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to TMZ.

Brody was photographed with a large, bloody gash on his forehead and he reportedly received stitches from a local hospital, reports Us Weekly.

Lavigne tweeted late Monday about the incident.

"I don't fight. I don't believe in it," she wrote. "To Clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f---ed."

Brody spoke about the fight on twitter as well: "Interesting Saturday night...Just got of the hospital with a new scar on my face... Charges/chargers!!!"
