Breaking and Eating: Teens burglarize Chinese restaurant, whip up a meal, say Fla. cops

(CBS/AP) GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Police say a couple of hungry 14-year-old boys broke into a north Florida Chinese restaurant and cooked up some chicken gizzards.

They must have been really hungry.

Gainesville police spokesman Jorge Campos says the teens were arrested Saturday night at China House restaurant. He figures the youths couldn't find any money, so they cooked, and ate instead.

They were charged with burglary and petty theft.

Campos told the Gainesville Sun the suspects had been arrested on similar charges at least two other times in the past few months.
