Boys, 7 and 10, among four found slain in NY home

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- Authorities say four people found slain inside their suburban Albany home included two adults in their 30s and two boys, ages 7 and 10.

Officials said during a Thursday news conference in Guilderland that they've identified the bodies found Wednesday afternoon in a bungalow-style home. Officials say the adults were a 37-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman. Police aren't saying how the four were related.

The victims' names are being withheld while relatives are notified. Officials say the four were of Chinese descent.

Authorities aren't saying how the four were killed. They say autopsies being conducted Thursday will determine the cause of death.

The home where the bodies were found is on Western Avenue in a busy residential and commercial stretch of road just west of Albany.

The two children attended school in Guilderland, officials said.

Several family members and others who may have information on what happened speak different dialects of Chinese, and the language barrier is a challenge in the case, reports CBS affiliate WRGB. Translators are being brought in from throughout the state, officials told the station.

At the press conference, Albany Count Attorney David Soares urged anyone with information or who may have seen something out of the ordinary to contact police.

"Our big concern is bringing to justice whoever hurt this family - our family," Soares said.
