According to Reuters, police say a  patron kicked out of a pub in Witten, Germany on Sunday stabbed a bouncer four times in the chest.

But luckily, the bouncer's fat wallet - stuffed in his breast pocket - prevented the knife from piercing his body.

"The wallet and cards acted as a protective vest and prevented a more serious incident," chief inspector Volker Schuette told Reuters.

Police told the news organization that the bouncer's wallet had several video rental store cards along with credit and bank cards.

The 31-year-old bouncer, who has not been named, told police he usually doesn't carry his wallet when he's at work.
