"Bold and Beautiful" actress Linsey Godfrey struck by car

An actress from the CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" is recovering after being hit by a car in Los Angeles.

As CBS Los Angeles reports, Linsey Godfrey was walking on a sidewalk Monday afternoon when she was struck by a car that drove off the road and towards her.

Police said the car hit another vehicle, hit her and then collided with a bus bench on the sidewalk.

TMZ reports that Godfrey was struck around 2:30 p.m. and was pinned underneath the car. When emergency responders arrived, someone had already moved the actress from the wreckage and she was quickly taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Godfrey reportedly suffered injuries to both legs and is in surgery.

The 26-year-old actress plays Caroline Spencer on the show and is also a cancer survivor and a new mother.
