(CBS) STONY POINT, N.Y. - A body was found in the Hudson River a few miles from Cold Spring, N.Y., where a manhunt has been underway for Sang Ho Kim, the suspected gunman in a deadly office shooting on Long Island last week, reports CBS New York.

New York State Park police said the body was discovered just before 9 a.m. Monday near Iona Island and the Bear Mountain Bridge, reports the station.

Police say the body appears to be that of a middle-aged Asian male, but it has not yet been positively identified, according to the station.

Police said the 63-year-old Kim walked into a lighting fixture company in East Garden City on Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, and opened fire.

The chief executive officer of the company, John Choi, was critically wounded in the shooting, police said. A second employee, Zachariah Yong Jae Shin, was killed.

Investigators said Kim disappeared after the shooting. His SUV was later found abandoned near Cold Spring.

Nassau County Police Chief Steven Skrynecki said Kim once worked as a vendor for the company and said the motive "appears to be work-related."

The body was taken to the Rockland County Medical Examiner's Office where New York State police are working with Nassau County police on an identification, authorities said.
